This idyllic scene in England's Costswold village of Lacock was an out of the way place my husband and I stumbled across. I wish we would have explored further down the lane. It had such a friendly and romantic feel, which I hope I've captured in this oil painting. I used loose brushstrokes for the foliage and created subtle shadows.
